THE INCONSTANT MEMORY OF A FACE I WILL NEVER SEE AGAIN
If photography is the freezing of time, then drawing is its defrosting In The Inconstant Memory of a Face I Will Never See Again, OK YEAH COOL GREAT attempts to break down the relationship that exists between photography and time. This is executed by deliberately producing work in alternative mediums. Themes of obsession, death and the natural world come together with intentional underlying sober wit. By taking a light-hearted approach to tragedy, OK YEAH COOL GREAT deconstructs the death of the photographed. The introduction of branches from weeping willow trees surrounding the gallery continues this reference to death, as within this space, over time, these branches too will die.
